An anointed and gifted minister, motivational speaker, entrepreneur and best-selling author, Henry B. Fernandez is driven by a God-given mandate to teach faith and show God’s people how to exercise their faith to prosper and live victoriously. As Bishop of The Faith Center Ministries in Sunrise, Florida, a thriving, multi-racial congregation of over 10,000 members, Fernandez cuts through denominational, cultural, and economic barriers. He brings a message of hope as he encourages people with the truth that it is God’s will for everyone to enjoy the abundant, successful life He has promised.
An ordained minister of 34 years, Fernandez began his faith journey in 1985 when he answered the call of God and moved from Brooklyn, NY to South Florida. Six years later in 1991, along with his wife, Carol, Bishop Fernandez founded the Plantation Worship Center (now The Faith Center) with only 11 members and began holding services in a local elementary school cafeteria. In 1994, the church purchased a shopping plaza in Lauderhill, Florida as the need for more space became evident. In 2002, as the congregation continued to grow, the church purchased the former Sunrise Musical Theater in Sunrise, Florida. Acknowledging the call to empower people to live a lifestyle of faith every day, and embracing its mission of reaching the world for Jesus, the ministry soon changed its name to The Faith Center Ministries and embarked on a worldwide outreach.
After 33 years of successful ministry and global impact Bishop Fernandez began the process of preparing the next servant to lead The Faith Center into the future. After much prayer , fasting, and faithful deliberation, he announced Dr. Joel Tudman as God’s choice to take the reins of leadership of The Faith Center.
Bishop Fernandez still has many years of purpose and service ahead for him. In 1996, Fernandez founded and became president and CEO of Henry Fernandez Ministries. He also serves as Chancellor of the University of Fort Lauderdale, a non-denominational Christian university that is fully accredited by the Commission for Independent Education and the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS).
He is the author of 13 books. He travels extensively as a guest speaker and frequently appears on television networks around the world, sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He is also producer and host of The Henry Fernandez Podcast. With a desire to exercise the gifts and talents God has bestowed upon him, and in an effort to equip people to discover their God-given purpose, Fernandez writes and produces plays.
He is president of ZoeStream Productions, ZoeStream Network, and ZoeStream Publishing. Henry Fernandez resides in Fort Lauderdale, FL with his wife, Carol Fernandez, co-pastor of The Faith Center. They are the proud parents of two sons, Seion-Zane and Elijah-Zane Fernandez.
